All new homes at The Quadrant built by Chestnut Homes come with a full NHBC Warranty Cover, to give you peace of mind.

The NHBC cover and Chestnut Homes Customer Care policy will be explained throughout the buying process, starting when you reserve your new home, right through to the moment you get your keys and move in. The NHBC Cover has two distinct parts:


Years 0 - 2 The first two years after legal completion of the first purchase of the home is called the builder warranty period. We want you to be happy with your new home, however, if we have failed to meet the NHBC requirements, we will put this right within a reasonable time. This includes:

  • Repairing physical damage to your home resulting from any failure to meet NHBC requirements

  • Taking action to treat, isolate or remove contamination from the land in line with any statutory notice that applies, or improve the condition of the land to prevent a statutory notice from being issued

  • Paying for the reasonable cost of removing and storing your possessions and alternative accommodation, if necessary, while work is being done

  • We do NOT cover wear and tear, and normal maintenance items.


Years 3 – 10 Again the HNBC cover is there to cover items that have failed to meet NHBC requirements, and in this period the following items are generally covered:

  • Roofs

  • External Walls

  • Chimneys and Flues

  • Ceilings

  • Load bearing internal walls

  • Foundations

  • Glazing

  • Access to the home
